How to Offer Your Telegram Channel as Audio to Subscribers
To offer subscribers an audio version of your public Telegram channel, verify your rights in TGRadio, get a reader link, and check the available posts before announcing it. Explain where people can listen and what limits apply to the channel history. Present audio as another way to access your writing.
Check that the channel is publicly accessible
TGRadio converts text from public Telegram channels into speech. Private channels and history outside the available public web feed are not supported. Before preparing an announcement, check which posts people can access without joining the channel.
A public channel does not guarantee access to its entire archive. Telegram may return an incomplete history. If you want to recommend a particular series of posts, first check that those entries have actually loaded. Avoid describing the audio version as a complete archive unless you have verified that.
Verify your rights and get a reader link
The channel owner or an administrator handles the setup. Rights are verified through Telegram. You do not need to add the TGRadio bot as a channel administrator. Access to a particular channel may require coordination with support.
You do not give TGRadio your Telegram password. When signing in through a browser, confirm the login in the bot only when the codes match.
- Open TGRadio’s sections for channel authors and partners.
- Complete the channel rights verification through Telegram.
- If channel access needs approval, clarify the conditions with support before announcing it.
- Get the reader link and open it yourself to check its destination.
Check the posts and audio before announcing
You can request between 1 and 1,000 recent messages. A newly added channel uses the selected setting. For an existing channel, changing the number lets you load more history; a button is also available to load messages into the current channel. A regular refresh retrieves new posts.
Use the displayed count to see how many entries were actually received. Reducing the requested number does not delete older entries, and the queue and marks are preserved. Selecting 1,000 messages does not mean you can promise readers exactly 1,000 available posts.
- Check that the loaded entries include any posts you plan to mention in the announcement.
- Listen to a few different texts, such as a short note and a longer post.
- Check how names, abbreviations, and specialist terms sound before recommending a particular post as a starting point.
Explain what subscribers can expect
Readers can listen to channels in a browser or the Mini App. Signing in through Telegram gives them a shared profile. Adding a channel to TGRadio does not subscribe them to it in Telegram or change which messages are marked as read.
Your announcement only needs to explain what the link opens and where listening is available. Readers can choose a male or female voice and select model 1, 2, or 3 in settings. Voice preferences vary, so invite people to choose the sound they prefer.
Write a short announcement
Here is a sample announcement: “You can now listen to text posts from our public channel in TGRadio, using a browser or the Mini App. Open the reader link and choose an available post. The history may be incomplete. Adding the channel to TGRadio does not change your Telegram subscription or read status.” Add your reader link when publishing the announcement.
After launch, ask readers which posts they find useful to listen to and where they encounter difficulties. Specific comments about missing entries or pronunciation will give you something concrete to check.
