How to prepare your book’s audio for a trip
To prepare a book’s audio for a trip, open it on the device you will take, choose a voice, and use Save chapter offline or Save book offline while connected. The button generates and saves missing audio without prior playback. Wait for completion, then test it without a connection before leaving. A book appearing in your profile does not mean its audio is stored on your phone.
Choose the chapters you will need
Find your intended starting point and choose the next chapters you want available. For example, prepare the current chapter and the following one so you do not have to find the continuation during a transfer. The source file’s size does not tell you how long the audio will last.
Listen to a short passage before saving. Check that you have the right starting point and that the text is suitable for listening. Source problems are easier to address at home, while you can still prepare another file outside TGRadio.
Start preparing the audio
After import, open the book, choose a voice, and press Play. Import extracts text; leaving the uploaded book idle does not prepare the entire audiobook in the background. Listening can begin with the first ready fragment, and further fragments are prepared as you listen.
Choose your voice before saving for the journey. Another voice or model requires a different audio version, so test the version you intend to use. Playback speed can change separately without generating new audio.
Save available sections on your travel device
Use Save chapter offline or Save book offline while connected on the phone or tablet you will take. The buttons generate missing fragments in sequence, download them, and save them. For the whole book, allow saving to finish without an error or cancellation and ensure enough storage is available. If interrupted, saved parts remain, but the result may be incomplete. Test it offline.
Make room on the device and allow the required download to finish on a stable connection. If you interrupt it with Stop download, check the available sections afterwards. Starting a save does not establish that all the selected material is already stored locally.
Test without an internet connection
Disconnect from the network and open Offline library in the same environment where you saved the audio. Start the intended book and position. Check the next prepared section as well as the opening seconds. If you reach the end of saved material, reconnect and prepare what is missing.
Use the same browser or application on the same device. Your profile’s shared position helps you resume across devices, but local audio does not travel with that position. A chapter saved on your computer is not automatically available offline on your phone.
Check the phone under travel conditions
Charge your device and headphones, check their connection, and make sure you can reach the player. Try locking the screen and returning to playback controls. Background playback is not guaranteed in every browser, so check your own setup before departure.
After a successful test, avoid signing out or clearing browser storage, because these remove local audio. If you switch devices, save and test again there. Importing or preparing new fragments during the journey still requires a connection.
