Audiobook sync across devices: how to keep listening

To continue your audiobook on another device, sign in to TGRadio through the same Telegram account and open the book from your shared library. Device sync covers your profile and listening position. Offline audio stays local, so fragments saved on your phone are not automatically available without a connection on your computer.

End playback on the first device

Before switching, stop the player on the first device. If that device was offline, reconnect it and open the app before continuing on the second. Note the chapter and last recognisable phrase so you can check whether the intended position has reached your shared profile.

For example, when moving from phone to laptop, stop the phone first and then open the book on the laptop. Do not leave the first device playing in another room. Two active sessions make it harder to establish which position you actually want to continue from.

Use the same Telegram account

On the second device, open TGRadio in a browser or Mini App and use the same Telegram account. For browser sign-in, match the code and confirm through the bot. You do not give the service your Telegram password. If you use several accounts, check which one you selected.

Open Books and find the existing entry. If your familiar library is missing, first investigate a possible profile mismatch. Avoid uploading the document again before this check: another upload will not explain why a different collection of books is showing.

Compare the chapter, passage and settings

Open the book, press Play and compare the opening with your reference from the first device. Check the chapter and a few sentences. If the voice or pace seems unfamiliar, inspect the selected voice, model and speed separately before deciding that the position is wrong.

If progress differs, stop the second player and check whether the first device reconnected after its latest session. Do not try to fix the discrepancy by playing both devices together. If the intended position does not appear, locate the passage through its content and continue on one device.

Save audio separately on the new device

A shared library does not transfer local offline downloads. To listen without a connection on the second device, connect to the internet, use Save chapter offline or Save book offline, and wait for completion. The button prepares missing fragments and saves them. Check the result in the Offline library on that device.

For example, a chapter saved on your phone does not provide offline access on a tablet. Test the tablet’s saved opening without a connection before travelling. Only prepared and downloaded parts are available, and signing out or clearing browser storage removes local audio.

Avoid competing playback sessions

Your profile holds a shared position, so playing the same book on two devices can create conflicting progress. Do not rely on a particular order in which those devices will save their changes. For sequential listening, keep one player active and stop it before switching.

If an older device reconnects later, check the current device’s position before continuing. When positions differ, use the last scene you actually heard as your reference. If you lend a device to someone else, remember that one Telegram profile does not provide independent positions for two listeners.
