Why PDF read-aloud repeats the title and author

A book title or author’s name repeated during PDF read-aloud may come from running headers or footers included in the extracted text. Check where the repeated phrases appear on the pages. If they are page furniture, choose a cleaner available copy or prepare the text outside TGRadio, which has no automatic header-removal setting.

Match the phrase to a page margin

Locate the phrase that interrupted the narration and inspect the top and bottom of nearby pages. For example, left-hand pages might show the author’s name while right-hand pages show the current chapter title. That produces two alternating interruptions rather than one identical phrase. Check several page spreads before editing. A title mentioned again in the main text does not, by itself, establish a header problem.

Find its position in extracted text

Copy adjacent pages into a separate text document and read the words surrounding each repeated phrase. A header may appear between paragraphs or inside a sentence continuing onto the next page. For example, “she opened” might be followed by the book title and then “the door.” That interruption helps identify the unwanted material. Check punctuation and spacing as well, so removing the phrase does not join words together.

Compare a cleaner available source

If you have another copy you have the right to use, inspect its text before uploading it. A clean opening is not enough: examine the middle of a chapter and a page transition. An existing TXT file or another text source may need fewer edits, but a different extension does not clean the content by itself. Repeated phrases already present in the text survive a straightforward format conversion.

Keep genuine chapter headings

Remove confirmed running headers from a separate copy using an external text editor. Review occurrences before replacing every book title or author name: the same wording may appear in a preface, quotation, or bibliographic entry. Keep a chapter title where the chapter actually begins. If that heading also appears on every page, remove only the repeated page copies. Read the surrounding sentences after each type of edit.

Test both alternating header styles

Add the prepared TXT through Books and Upload a book. Select the book and voice, then press Play to start audio preparation. Listen to a passage containing a previous interruption, followed by one that used the other header style. This matters when odd and even pages have different running text. TGRadio does not provide an editor for changing individual phrases inside an uploaded book.

If a repetition remains, search the prepared file for shortened titles, different capitalization, or extra spaces. Similar-looking headers may have slightly different text. Check each variant against the PDF before editing it externally. Repetition that belongs to the author’s actual prose needs a separate decision based on meaning.
