Incorrect word stress in book narration: what you can do
If book narration stresses a word incorrectly, check its spelling and the surrounding sentence, then compare another available model on the same passage. Meaning matters when identical spellings have different pronunciations. TGRadio has no stress dictionary or pronunciation editor, so any changes to a source you are allowed to edit must happen outside the app.
Distinguish ambiguity from a source error
Find the word in the original file and read the complete sentence. Establish which meaning the passage requires. For example, the English word “record” has different stress as a noun and a verb. Russian books also contain words with identical spelling but different stress and meanings. A short sentence may provide too few clues.
Check for typing mistakes and, in Russian text, a missing ё. A misspelled name or words joined during extraction may sound like a stress error even though the spelling needs attention first.
Listen to the surrounding sentences
Start a little before the problem and listen to the full paragraph at speed 1. This helps you confirm the word and sentence boundaries you heard. Slower playback does not change the stress chosen by the model, but it can make an error easier to identify in a long name or unfamiliar technical term.
Check other occurrences of the word if the book contains them. Correct pronunciation in one sentence and incorrect pronunciation in another suggests that context affects the result. It does not mean you should apply the same replacement everywhere.
Try another available model
Select another available model and compare the same passage. Keep the male or female voice and playback speed unchanged so your comparison stays focused. The new version requires audio preparation after you press Play. Replaying the existing recording alone does not cause its pronunciation to be generated again.
If another model reads the word correctly, test a few more sentences containing names or specialist vocabulary. Fixing one stress error does not guarantee correct pronunciation throughout the book. Judge the options using passages that matter for what you are reading.
Prepare changes outside TGRadio
If you have permission to edit the source, open it in an external editor. Correct typos, restore missing ё where appropriate in Russian, and repair broken punctuation. In your own writing, you can clarify the context. For example, replacing an ambiguous standalone noun with a more descriptive phrase may make its meaning clearer.
Such a replacement changes an author's wording in a published book, so do not insert explanations automatically. Adding special stress marks does not guarantee the intended pronunciation either. TGRadio has no stress entry field, custom pronunciation dictionary or SSML support.
Test before making further changes
Save the edited copy separately from the original and add it through Upload a book. Open the relevant passage and press Play. Importing extracts text; audio preparation starts with playback. Compare the complete sentence so that a change intended to fix one word does not damage the neighboring phrase or alter its meaning.
If the error remains, note the word, sentence, selected model and voice for a support request. Avoid sending an entire personal book when a short excerpt describes the issue. A precise report explains the difficulty without assuming that a pronunciation fix will necessarily be available.
