How to turn a book file link into spoken audio

To turn a book file link into spoken audio, open Books, choose Import URL, and enter a publicly accessible address for a supported file. TGRadio extracts the text first. Then select the book and voice and press Play to prepare audio. The link must work without signing into the source website or passing a protected download.

Distinguish the file from its download page

Open the address and check whether it leads to the book itself. A store listing, book description, or account page may contain a download button, but its address is not the file link. Importing that page does not guarantee that you will get the book.

For example, a page showing a cover, price, and sign-in prompt is a product listing. Look for a public download provided by the source, if one exists and you have the right to use the book.

Check access without your signed-in session

Try opening the link in a private browser window where you are not signed into the source website. A login form, permission request, or access error indicates that the link depends on your session and may not work for import.

A successful browser check catches obvious restrictions but does not guarantee import: the website may apply additional download protection. If you already have a legitimately obtained local file, use Upload a book and select that file instead.

Check the format and import limits

Supported files are EPUB, FB2, TXT, and PDFs with a text layer. The file limit is 10 MB, and extracted book text is limited to 2 million characters. For a PDF, check whether text can be selected and copied. Image-only scans and password-protected PDFs are unsuitable.

Your personal library can hold up to 30 books and 20 million characters in total. These are import and storage limits, not a monthly narration allowance. Prepare an appropriate version outside TGRadio if necessary; renaming an extension does not change file contents.

Add the link and check the book details

After signing in, open Books, choose Import URL and paste the address you checked. After importing, check the book title and available chapter names. When you start listening, compare the opening with the source so you can notice if a product description was imported instead of the book.

If text is damaged or incomplete, fix the source outside TGRadio or choose another suitable file. There is no built-in text editor. Import extracts content; it does not reconstruct missing pages, images, or formulas.

Start audio preparation after importing

Select the imported book and your preferred voice, then press Play. You can listen from the first ready fragment. Later parts are prepared as you listen, so a completed import does not mean the entire audiobook has been created in the background.

Use books you have the right to use. Personal uploads are not automatically published in the shared catalog, but fragment text is sent to the speech synthesis service. Consider this when choosing a file containing personal notes.
