How to correct the text of an uploaded book
To correct the text of an uploaded book, edit the source file outside TGRadio and upload the revised version. The application has no built-in text or pronunciation editor. Before editing, identify whether the problem is a misspelling, paragraph order or the way a voice pronounces otherwise correct text.
Distinguish a text error from a pronunciation issue
Open the source you used for the upload and locate the phrase. A typo, missing word or joined sentences requires a source edit. If the spelling is correct but the stress sounds wrong, the issue concerns pronunciation. Importing the unchanged file again does not itself correct that behavior.
For example, you can remove an accidental line break inside a surname. For a correctly spelled surname, TGRadio has no built-in pronunciation dictionary. A different voice may pronounce it differently, but the desired result is not guaranteed.
Make a separate editable copy
Keep the original and edit a copy using an external editor suitable for the format. If you have the manuscript document, correct that and export the book again. This helps prevent the change from being lost the next time you update the source.
After editing a PDF, check that the relevant paragraphs can still be selected and copied as text. Saving pages as images makes them unsuitable for extraction without OCR. Simply changing the file extension does not alter its contents or repair its structure.
Review the edit in its surrounding context
Read the corrected sentence together with the paragraphs immediately before and after it. Make sure removing a duplicate has not removed a necessary transition, and inserting new text has not duplicated a heading. If you changed the structure, inspect both ends of the affected chapter.
Record a short phrase from the new revision that you can recognize while listening. Label the revision in the filename and inside the book. For example, “corrected revision 2” helps distinguish the new source when both documents remain in the same folder.
Upload the corrected book again
In Books, choose Upload a book and select the corrected file. If using Import URL, first confirm that the link opens the updated material. A previously imported book does not synchronize with later changes to your document or webpage.
Supported sources include EPUB, FB2, TXT and PDFs with a text layer, with a file limit of 10 MB. The new import extracts text. Open the new book, choose a voice and press Play to begin preparing audio. Uploading does not automatically narrate the whole book.
Check the new recording before removing the old version
Listen to the corrected passage and its neighboring sentences. If you edited several chapters, check each one separately. Do not assume that the listening position, prepared fragments or local downloads from the old version will transfer to the new one.
Previously saved offline audio still contains the earlier text. For the revised book, use Save chapter offline or Save book offline with a working connection: the button generates missing sections, downloads them and saves them. You do not need to play them first. Before removing the old book, confirm that the new version opens and contains your correction. Keep the source document and change notes separately from the library.
