Your audiobook works online but not offline: what to check
If your audiobook works online but not offline, check whether the exact passage you are trying to play was saved. While connected, the player can fetch later fragments from the network. Without internet access, it needs parts saved locally on your current device. A chapter you have heard is not necessarily a chapter saved for offline listening.
Locate the point where playback stops
Notice whether the book fails to start or stops at a particular passage. If the beginning plays but the next section is unavailable without a connection, check whether that next fragment was saved. A working opening does not confirm that the whole chapter or book is present.
For example, you might save chapter one, then listen online through chapter three. Your shared listening position can be in chapter three even though only chapter one is stored locally. Check the available section separately from your resume position.
Check that you explicitly saved it
Consider whether you used Save chapter offline or Save book offline. Pressing Play starts listening and audio preparation, but it is not confirmation that every passage you heard was separately saved for use without a connection.
Reconnect, open the book, and choose the appropriate saving action. Check the parts actually saved. If you used Stop download, only rely on what finished downloading; stopping a download does not make its remaining parts available.
Make sure the required audio is prepared
A complete book text can be imported while audio exists for only part of it. Select the book and voice, then press Play. Later fragments are prepared as you listen; adding a book does not automatically narrate the entire work in the background.
While connected, use Save chapter offline or Save book offline: each command generates missing fragments in sequence, downloads them, and saves them. You do not need to play the chapters first. Wait for completion without an error or cancellation, with enough storage for the selected audio. A book title in your library alone does not confirm that saving finished.
Match the device, browser, and audio version
Open Offline library where you performed the save. The same Telegram account shares your profile and position, but local audio stays on the device and in the environment where it was saved. A laptop download does not prepare your phone for offline listening.
Also check whether you changed the voice or model after downloading. A new version needs its own audio and saving. Changing playback speed does not require new narration, so treat that separately from the availability of your chosen voice version.
Check the download before leaving
If the same passage previously worked offline, consider whether you cleared browser storage or signed out. Both actions remove local audio. Seeing the book in your profile after signing back in does not mean its downloaded fragments have been restored.
After saving again, disconnect and start the exact passage where you plan to resume. If you need several chapters, check the required parts individually. This reveals missing sections before your trip, while reconnecting is still an option.
