Audiobook after a browser refresh: how to continue
After refreshing your browser, reopen the same book, check the chapter and voice, then press Play. Your position is stored in your profile, but opening a page does not mean sound should start automatically. If your audiobook is silent after a browser refresh, check the player before uploading the file again.
Return to your own library
If the refresh leaves you signed out, sign in with the same Telegram account you used while listening. Then open Books. On a shared device, or when you use several accounts, check the profile before looking for a missing position.
Find the original entry in your library. For example, a shared-catalog book with the same title may differ from your uploaded file. Select the familiar copy rather than adding another one. Importing again is not a way to restore a playback session.
Check the chapter before changing position
Look at the chapter that opened and compare it with the last passage you remember. If it seems plausible, start playback and check by listening. Avoid changing the position immediately just because you cannot remember the exact timestamp.
If the book clearly opens too early, select the appropriate chapter and locate a familiar passage in prepared audio. Hearing a little material again helps confirm the transition. Do not assume recovery after every interruption will be accurate to the second.
Confirm the voice and press Play
Check the selected voice and model before continuing. A different voice requires another audio version to be prepared. Restore your earlier settings if you want the same sound. Playback speed is a separate setting and does not require new speech generation.
Press Play yourself. If the required fragment is not ready, playback starts its preparation. Do not wait for the first audio before pressing Play. Further fragments are prepared as you listen; refreshing does not start generating the entire remaining book in the background.
Distinguish a connection problem from a missing book
Without a connection, continuation may stop wherever a new fragment is needed. For offline listening, open Offline Library on the same device. The relevant parts must have been saved beforehand; merely seeing a book in your library is not enough.
Refreshing a page does not save audio offline. Clearing browser storage or signing out removes local audio. If those files are unavailable, reconnect and check the book in your profile. New fragments cannot be prepared without a connection.
Check the output if playback remains silent
Check device volume, whether the tab is muted, and the selected audio output. For example, sound may be going to connected headphones you are not wearing. Then check whether the playback position moves and whether the connection works if another fragment needs preparation.
Pause other players with the same book so they do not complicate your position check. Repeated refreshes are not a way to speed up preparation. If the problem continues, tell support which chapter and voice you selected and what happens after you press Play.
