Read a book aloud from a cloud link: preview or file?
To read a book aloud from a cloud link, TGRadio needs a supported file or an accessible HTML page containing text. A cloud preview may display the book to you without making its contents available to the importer. If the link fails, check access and, where permitted, download the file for a manual upload.
Identify what the address opens
Open the link and establish whether it points to one file, a folder containing several documents, or a preview page. Navigation controls, thumbnails, and page images may belong to the cloud interface. They do not establish that the book file itself is available at that address.
For example, a link may display a PDF inside a viewer while downloading requires a separate action. Importing the viewer address may not retrieve the book’s text. A folder link also leaves the intended book unspecified, so locate the individual file first.
Check public access and permissions
Open the address in a private window without signing in to the cloud service. A login request or a request for the owner’s permission means the link does not provide public access. Your regular browser may display the book using a saved session that TGRadio does not receive.
Viewing without signing in still does not guarantee downloading is permitted. If you own the file, check the sharing settings available in the storage service. For someone else’s file, ask the owner for a suitable copy. Control names and sharing options vary between cloud services.
Try importing an accessible address
If the file is public, open Books in TGRadio, choose Import URL, and paste the address. Check the resulting book after processing. Avoid changing parts of the address using unverified instructions: an altered link may lead elsewhere rather than produce a downloadable file.
No visible feature of an address guarantees successful import. For example, a filename ending in PDF on a preview page does not prove the server returns a PDF file at that address. Equally, a link without a visible file extension may still provide an accessible book.
Download manually if the link fails
If the source permits downloading and you have the right to use the book, save the file to your device. Then select Upload a book in TGRadio and choose the downloaded document. This gives the importer the file without requiring it to process the cloud preview page.
Check the local copy’s format and size: supported files are EPUB, FB2, TXT, and PDF with a text layer, up to 10 MB. A saved web page describing the book is not the book file. Open the downloaded document before uploading and confirm that it contains the intended text.
Compare the contents before listening
After import, compare the available sections with the source. The cloud document might be a sample, one volume, or a scan. For a PDF, check whether text can be selected in the original file: TGRadio does not recognise page images without a text layer.
Once the book is imported, open it, choose a voice, and press Play. Adding a link does not start preparing the entire book in the background. Later audio fragments are prepared as you listen, so a library entry does not mean every chapter already has finished audio.
