Book text-to-speech bot: send a file through Telegram

To send a file to TGRadio’s book text-to-speech bot, attach the document in a private chat using your Telegram account. Once processing finishes, the book is available through the associated profile. Sending the file does not itself start narration: open the book, choose a voice, and press Play to begin preparing audio.

Prepare the actual book document

Supported files are EPUB, FB2, TXT, and PDF with a text layer. The file must be no larger than 10 MB. If the book is inside an archive, extract the document on your device first: archives are not among the supported book formats.

Check that the document opens and contains the intended work. For example, your downloads folder might contain a sample with a similar filename instead of the complete book. For a PDF, also try copying a sentence: a scan without recognised text is unsuitable. Use a book you have the right to use.

Attach the document in a private chat

Open your private chat with the TGRadio bot and attach the book as a file or document. Attachment labels can differ between Telegram versions. Send the supported document itself rather than a screenshot, a cover photo, or a message containing the book’s title.

Wait for Telegram to finish uploading the attachment. While the transfer is still running, the bot has not received the complete document. Use your private conversation with the bot for this import method. If sending fails, first check the message’s transfer status and your connection.

Allow file processing to finish

A delivered message confirms that the attachment was sent through Telegram, but book processing may still be underway. Wait for the processing result before sending it again. There is no guaranteed completion time, so do not rely on promises that every upload finishes within a specific number of seconds.

If importing fails, check the document’s format, size, and contents. In addition to the 10 MB file limit, extracted text is limited to 2 million characters per book. Resending an unsuitable file does not change its properties; prepare a corrected copy outside TGRadio first.

Find the book under the same Telegram account

Open Books in the Mini App or browser. To access the same library, use the Telegram account that sent the file. If the processed book is missing, check which account you are using, particularly if you have several Telegram profiles.

For example, you might send the document from your personal account while the browser is connected to your work account. These are separate TGRadio profiles. When signing in through a browser, approve the request in the bot only when the displayed codes match. Sending a book does not require sharing your Telegram password or forwarding login codes from other sessions.

Start narration after importing

Open the added book, choose a voice, and press Play. Audio is initially prepared so listening can begin; later fragments are prepared as you progress. The bot accepting a document does not mean a complete recording of the entire book will automatically become available.

If you hear cover text, unwanted introductory material, or sections in the wrong order, inspect the source file. TGRadio has no built-in book editor. Make text or structure changes in an external program, then upload the prepared copy. A personal upload is not automatically published in the shared catalogue.
