Browser deleted your offline audiobook? Check the cause
If your browser seems to have deleted an offline audiobook, first check that you are opening the original storage location. Then consider data clearing, signing out and app reinstallation. Missing local audio needs to be saved again; a book and listening position in your profile do not restore the device’s download.
Rule out a different storage location
Open the same browser or Mini App on the same device where offline playback worked previously. If you changed how you open TGRadio after a phone update, the original audio may be elsewhere. An empty library in a new browser does not establish that the old copy was deleted.
For example, saving in a laptop browser does not create a download in the phone’s Mini App. Check the original location before preparing everything again. Stay signed in while checking, since signing out itself removes local audio.
Review data clearing and sign-out
Consider whether browser storage was cleared after your last successful listening session. Clearing site data removes saved audio. Browser cleanup tools use different names and scopes, so distinguish deleting website data from simply closing tabs.
Signing out of TGRadio also removes local audio fragments. Returning to the same profile provides access to the book and saved listening position, but the deleted offline copy must be saved again. Repeatedly signing out and back in is not a recovery method.
Check private browsing and reinstallation
If you used a private window, consider your browser’s storage rules for that mode. Private session data may be removed when the session ends. Use a regular browsing window for the replacement copy, then test it by reopening the book without a connection.
Removing the browser or app used to open TGRadio may also remove its associated local storage. Reinstalling it should not be treated as a way to recover audio. If there is no clear cause, disappearance alone is not enough to blame the browser confidently. Local storage is not a promise of permanent retention.
Prepare the required audio again
Connect to the internet and locate the book in Books under the original profile. If its text is still there, you do not need to import the source again merely to replace offline audio. Select the voice you need and open the chapter where you intend to continue.
To restore local audio, connect to the internet and use Save chapter offline or Save book offline. The button generates missing fragments in sequence, downloads them and stores them locally; pressing Play first is unnecessary. For the whole book, allow saving to finish without an error or cancellation and ensure enough storage is available.
Test the replacement copy
Allow saving to finish, disable Wi-Fi and mobile data, then reopen the Offline library. Check several places in the section you need. For example, if you restored three chapters for a journey, start each chapter rather than checking only your previous stopping point.
If audio disappears again, note the browser mode, device, cleanup actions and time between saving and discovering the problem. Keep the original book file separately if you have it. It can help with another import, but it does not replace saved offline audio.
